Administrative history
On 12th February 1970, at its hundred-and-second meeting, the Finance Committee of CERN decided to set up a mixed Member State/CERN working group to examine the health insurance provisions which the Organization has made for the staff. This followed the announcement by a company that had hitherto handled a part of the CERN social security system, that it wished to terminate its contract with CERN at the end of 1969. The Working Group was initially composed as follows :
