The event is aimed at the CERN community and CERN Alumni and Retirees, therefore physical attendance will require having a valid CERN access card.

There will be traditional Marmite de l'escalade at the end of the presentation and free chocolate will be distributed!
The authors of the « Les Aventures Extraordinaires des Globifiques » book series will give a talk about their new book "Léon Photon découvre les particules élémentaires à Genève" at the CERN Library:
"Léon Photon, passionné de physique, nous emmène à la poursuite des particules élémentaires durant une édition spéciale de la course de l'Escalade à Genève."
The event will be followed by a Q&A and signing sessions. The book is available from the CERN Library & Bookshop in French.
About the authors:
Géraldine and Aurélien Schaller-Conti are Swiss co-authors of the children's book series "Les Aventures Extraordinaires des Globifiques". Géraldine has a PhD in physics from EPFL and has worked for CERN, Harvard University and Disney Research. She specializes in artificial intelligence. Aurélien has a PhD in criminology from the University of Lausanne and a master's degree in criminology and security as well as in psychology. He worked for many years in the field of justice before joining public health. Together, they are also involved in popularizing science through this series of children's books. It aims to make science accessible to young people in a fun way, with characters like Léon Photon.
